Why did someone mention that this camera requires a SIM card to be inserted in order to work?

It’s wrong. Our camera can only connect to 2.4Ghz WiFi, not 4G, so there is no need to insert a SIM card. We suggest you choose “Battery Camera” instead of “4G camera” when you add the camera to the “ieGeek Cam” app.

How to install solar panels to absorb more power?

We recommend placing the solar panel horizontally and tilting it towards the south. The sticker on the solar panel has more detailed instructions. If the sticker does not peel off easily, you can heat it with a hair dryer before peeling it off.

Is this surveillance camera compatible with 2.4Ghz WiFi or 5Ghz WiFi?

This ZY-C2 camera can only connect with 2.4Ghz WiFi. The 2.4Ghz network provides wider coverage for wireless home security cameras with wide compatibility and the advantage of penetrating obstacles. (5Ghz WiFi is not supported)

What does the description mean when it says free lifetime recording for 6 seconds on a 7 day cycle?

When motion is detected, the camera will automatically record 6 seconds of video and save it in cloud storage. The 6-second video is valid for 7 days, which means that on the eighth day, it will overwrite the video recorded on the first day.
